H.O.P.E stands for Helping Open People’s Eyes, and we are primarily based in Blackwood.

We are a diverse group of volunteers, who have united together for a common purpose. Led by team leaders and founders Ian and Tammy Smith, our primary intention is to purchase and convert a double decker bus, which will be then used as a night shelter for the homeless. This will enable us to offer temporary refuge to people living on the streets in the greater Gwent area.

We are staffed entirely on a volunteer basis, and rely on donations from the public, as well as fundraising events to support our work. Additionally, we are potentially hoping to recruit volunteer staff specialising in areas relating to drugs, alcohol and housing issues, who will be available be able to offer much needed advice and potentially practical support to our clients.

All funds raised will be used to purchase the bus, and any additional items such as food and clothing which are desperately needed by people living on the streets. We are always grateful for any donations that we receive, and are always looking for volunteers to join our team. We value your time and any contributions to our project.

Should you require any further information about our work, please contact us via Facebook or contact Ian and Tammy Smith on: 07773350499. If we are unable to answer your call, please leave a message and we will be in touch as soon as possible.
